Circle
K Safaris started in the tours & safaris business in 1978
as a family business. The founder, Cyrus Kariuki, a Kenyan,
is a well respected veteran within the hospitality industry
in East Africa. Back then, it was an old rickety mini bus
that was used to move clients around East Africa. Gradually
the number, and quality, of the mini buses has continued
increasing and improving. Today Circle K Safaris has a fleet
of mini buses and 4x4 vehicles, all complete with the latest
radio communication equipment.
The growth
of Circle K Safaris is tied directly to one simple fact; word
of mouth advertising. Right from inception, Cyrus insisted
on maintaining only the best practices that were consistent
with industry standards in Europe and the rest of the developed
countries. Industry standards in relation to time keeping,
efficient communication and feedback systems, confirmed bookings
through-out your trip, going the extra mile to ensure expectations
are met and exceeded. Simple things really, but critical to
the peace of mind of their clients! This has continued paying
off as the number of clients has continued rising consistently
each year.
They have
made it their business to understand and know all the best
sites and locations in East Africa. Each year, Cyrus and his
team - which includes his wife Liz - takes time off and moves
around seeking new destinations, new camping sites, new hotel
developments, looking out for new and emerging trends within
East Africa. That takes about 2 months each year.
The result is a well oiled outfit, knowledgeable, flexible,
diverse and packed with unusual off the beaten track itineraries.
Without doubt, one of the best safari company in East Africa.
